Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum information needed to run CoverArtGenerator.ai, we never sell your data, and uploaded reference photos are processed transiently and not retained.

1. Who controls your data

CTRL MUSIC PLATFORMS LLC, 1 E Erie St, Suite 525-2860, Chicago, IL 60611, is the data controller for personal information collected through CoverArtGenerator.ai. For privacy questions, contact support@ctrlmusicgroup.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the Service:

  • Account information. Your email address, sign-in identifiers, and an internal user ID, provided by Clerk when you create an account.
  • Payment information. When you buy credits, Stripe collects your card details directly. We receive a Stripe customer ID, the amount paid, and the session/charge IDs. We never see or store your card number.
  • Inputs you submit. Text prompts, optional lyrics, and any reference photo you upload.
  • Generated images. The image URLs returned by the AI model and the metadata needed to display them in your library.
  • Usage and operational logs. IP address, browser type, request timestamps, and error logs, used for security and debugging.

3. How we handle uploaded photos

If you upload a reference photo (for example, an artist photo to incorporate into the cover), we transmit it to the AI model provider strictly to fulfill that one generation request. We do not use uploaded photos to train any model and we do not share them with anyone other than the model provider executing your request.

Uploaded photos are processed transiently and are not retained on our servers after the generation completes. The resulting generated image is stored in your library until you delete it or close your account.

4. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Process your credit purchases and maintain a credit ledger.
  • Generate images on your behalf and store them in your library.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your messages.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not run third-party advertising or tracking pixels on the Service.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with the third parties needed to operate the Service, and only for the purposes listed:

  • Clerk for authentication and account management.
  • Stripe for payment processing.
  • OpenAI for image generation (your prompt and any uploaded reference photo are sent to OpenAI to produce your image).
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers who run our database and servers.

Each of these providers is bound by its own privacy and security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CTRL MUSIC PLATFORMS LLC, our users, or the public.

6. Data retention

  • Account record: kept while your account is active.
  • Generated images: kept until you delete them or close your account.
  • Uploaded reference photos: not retained after the generation completes.
  • Payment and credit-ledger records: retained for at least seven years to satisfy tax, accounting, and dispute requirements.
  • Operational logs: typically rotated within 90 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including TLS in transit, access controls, and isolation of payment data with Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us promptly if you suspect a problem.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@ctrlmusicgroup.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. Deletion removes your profile and library; payment and ledger records are kept as described above.

9. Cookies

We use only the cookies and local-storage entries that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in (managed by Clerk) and to remember a per-browser session ID for free previews. We do not run advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@ctrlmusicgroup.com and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

We are based in the United States and the third-party providers listed above may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be posted here.
